Every two years, AESA brings Oregon's legislators, candidates, and public officials something no briefing document can provide — a full day alongside the farmers, ranchers, foresters, researchers, and industry experts who make Oregon's natural resource economy work. The AESA Legislative Tour is a carefully curated educational experience designed to build genuine, lasting understanding of the industries, families, and communities that define Oregon's heritage.

The tour agenda and booklet give you a clear picture of what a day on the AESA Legislative Tour looks like — the stops, the topics, and the operations you will visit. The documents below are from the 2024 tour and will be updated once the 2026 agenda is finalized.
Each AESA Legislative Tour is thoughtfully designed to showcase the diversity, innovation, and complexity of Oregon's agricultural and natural resource industries. Attendees travel together by bus, visiting multiple operations across a single region — meeting the families, researchers, and industry experts behind each one and hearing directly about the challenges and opportunities shaping Oregon's natural resource economy today.
Tours stops cover a wide range of Oregon commodities and industries. Themes of sustainability, soil health, technological innovation, and the connection between research and industry are woven throughout the day. A hosted lunch on a farm and an end-of-day reception round out the experience, giving attendees time to continue conversations in a welcoming setting.

The AESA Legislative Tour is open to Oregon legislators, leaders, candidates for legislative office, decision-makers, and public officials. It is designed for anyone who makes or influences decisions affecting Oregon's agricultural, forestry, and natural resource industries and who wants to understand those industries firsthand rather than through a policy document.
Attendance is complimentary. All tour events are approved by the Oregon Government Ethics Commission.
