Oregon Agriculture's Voice in Salem

AG-PAC is Oregon's Agricultural Political Action Committee. We represent the interests of agriculture, forestry, and natural resource-based industries in the Oregon Legislature — identifying, endorsing, and supporting the legislative decision-makers who understand and champion those industries, regardless of where they serve.

Our History

Before AG-PAC existed, Oregon's agricultural community had no real voice in Salem. Legislative and agency doors were closed to farmers, ranchers, and foresters on the very issues that affected them most. The solution was straightforward: pool resources, speak with one voice, and earn meaningful representation in the Oregon Legislature.

In 1989, AG-PAC was formally established with a founding coalition of eight agricultural and natural resource industries. Today that coalition has grown to fourteen organizations and AG-PAC has become a recognized and respected force in Oregon politics that candidates, legislators, and policymakers take seriously.

Our Purpose

The AG-PAC Mission

Oregon's agricultural, forestry, and natural resource industries are a cornerstone of our state's economy and identity. AG-PAC exists to ensure that the decision-makers in Salem understand that and are committed to policies that reflect it.

01

Identify & Support Pro-Agriculture Candidates

AG-PAC takes a proactive role in identifying and supporting decision-makers and legislative candidates who demonstrate a thorough understanding of the needs and contributions of Oregon's agricultural, forestry, and natural resource industries.

02

Advocate for Oregon's Long-Term Prosperity

We support legislative candidates and individuals seeking congressional, legislative, and statewide public office who are committed to advancing the best interests of Oregon's agricultural, forestry, and natural resource industries and the broader economic well-being of all Oregonians.

03

Monitor, Engage & Hold Accountable

AG-PAC maintains an active presence in Oregon's political landscape — tracking candidate and elected official positions on agricultural, timber, and natural resource issues, and engaging where it matters most for the communities and industries we represent.
